  game play

Circus Galton, game example.
 Title screen

At the title screen (see picture in section "history") press F1 to continue to the "Doornsoft presenteert"-screen. The title screen will be shown only once.

 Start

Start a game by pressing F1 at the "Doornsoft presenteert"-screen. Note: This will only work when the 'blue stripes' are moving downwards (a minor bug?).

 Aim of the game

The aim of this game is to catch as many balls as possible. The balls fall down from a blue tube. The player has a green basket to collect the balls.

 Movement

You can move the green basket to the left and right by using the joysitck in port 2. In your emulator you can define keys to replace this joystick. When using an original Commodore 64, you can use it's own keys. Unfortunatelly I can't remember which keys these are.

 Score

For each collected ball you receive as many score as the number of the level you're playing. E.g.: you're playing at level 3 (in the game called "ronde 3"). Each collected ball will increase your score with 3.
When your score exceeds 1000 the 'circus galton-sign' will appear.
After your game has ended, your score and the hiscore of the day be shown.

Circus Galton, the bonusround.  Next level

When you've collected 12 balls, you will enter the next level. Every level is a bit more daring.

 Ball missed...

When you don't succeed to catch a ball, you'll have to start again at level 1. You have 3 attempts, after which the game ends.

 Bonus level

After every succesfull completion of a level, you'll enter a bonus level. Here you can earn 0 to 9 points. Push the button of the joystick to determine the bonus. Note: If you wait to long, you'll get no bonus at all.

  download

To play the game you need to download the game (19KB) plus a Commodore 64-emulator. The game has been succesfully tested with the VICE emulator (version 1.6).
  • Download the game.
